Academy Professor Riitta Hari, MD, PhD leads the Brain Research Unit (BRU) at the Aalto University School of Science. Hari’s research team has since the early 1980s been developing magnetoencephalography (MEG), with a special focus on studies of sensory systems and of various cognitive brain functions of healthy subjects and of various patient groups. Hari’s main interest is in temporal dynamics of human cortical functions. She is strongly advocating ‘two-person neuroscience’ to understand the brain basis of social interaction even in relatively natural experimental settings.
Riitta Hari is Academian of Science since 2010 and the member of the US National Academy of Science since 2004
